At Maresca's Coffee Counter, we’re dedicated to sharing a warm atmosphere, great products, and sustainable practices with each customer. Inspired by the vibrant colors and landscapes of southern Italy, we want you to feel welcomed and energized during each visit. If you feel valued and cared for when we serve you a fresh cup of coffee from our locally roasted beans and a fresh pastry we baked ourselves, then we’re doing our job right.
The morning coffee experience is important.
We believe that for a moment, anyone can drop their cares to indulge in a bite of a tasty blueberry muffin or pumpkin scone - and a sip of an iced vanilla latte or hot chocolate. No matter where you are in your day, leave your burdens behind for a moment and experience something that energizes you and lifts your spirits.
We source our coffee from local roasters.
We’re committed to giving you the highest quality drinks and pastries we can. For us, that looks like partnering with local roasters at Farm Bell Kitchen. We also take pride in our traditional Italian preparation style. Each recipe is measured and tested to perfection. Each of our hand-made pastries is baked fresh by our founders right here in Charlottesville. (You may even see some of our treats in local restaurants and coffee shops around town!) Our passion is in the product, and we want to share that passion with you.
We believe that we all have a role to play in caring for the Earth, whether big or small.
We strive to reduce waste and recycle as much as we can, and we do our best to choose and partner with brands that carry our same ethical and sustainable values, down to the cups you drink from. Each hot cup, hot lid and straw is commercially compostable, and cold cup and lid is recyclable. It’s a small part to play, but we want to play it faithfully to help save our planet.
